The intersection between the worlds of art and cryptocurrency is redefining the concept of ownership in the digital age. Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) allow virtual images, and their original underlying code, to be sold as unique works of art, even if copies of those same images proliferate.
Honorable Mayor Francis X. Suarez will host a Cafecito talk on the emergence of NFTs in the world of art. Aside from the Cafecito talk, this event will highlight local artists and include streaming of an NFT Workshop that will provide instruction on minting.
